Pompeii was still not comfortable with his surroundings: the creepy atmosphere, the rabid and wild cats, and the glares he always received from others. He didn't really care about what others thought of him, it was just unnerving to have that feeling of being watched.
The large tabby groaned as he made his way through the allies, looking all the taller cats in the eye with a confident stare. He was acting a little too tough for his own good, but it wasn't like anyone was stupid enough to attack him. His "father" would whoop whoever dared set a claw on him. Lashing his tail, he crouched by a dead rat surrounded by flies. It was the most decent meal he came across that day, and he wasn't going to let it go to waste.
Cringing, he lowered himself to the ground and took nibbles out of the crowfood, hoping for the first in his life he had someone by his side to reassure him.

"What the hell are you eating?" Abduel snorted, blinking as he padded over. His son would not be eating crowfood. He threw a freshly-killed rodent over to Pompeii, wrinkling his nose in disgust. "We only eat crowfood during war, buddy."

Ah, there was the attitude he so much loved of his adopted parent. Giggling at his own loss of dignity, he took the rodent and dug into it's belly, his muzzle quickly devouring the creature and staining him with blood. Pompeii wiped the blood from his maw and grinned at Abduel, his amber eyes filled with rebellion. He enjoyed messing with the Skull, it got a kick out of him. "Abduel, this place is a dump, you think a kit like me is going to know what is acceptable to eat?" he quizzed, rocking on his behind as he sat on the hard concrete.

He let out a huff and nudged his adoptive child with his paw, yellow eyes glittering. "Yeah, yeah. But we can't exactly leave the catacombs." He said vaguely. "Now, wash your muzzle right now. You look like a kit that lives in a dump."

"At least I don't look like i'm old enough to be a dinosaur." he retorted with a purr before licking the blood off his chops, the metallic tang leaving a bad taste in his mouth. Bloodthirsty? Yeah right, blood was disgusting, even if it was the monochrome practically lived on. Finishing his grooming, he popped to his sturdy limbs and began walking down the dark tunnels.
"When will I begin my training? I wanna learn how to do that belly-ripping technique i've seen some other cats doing!" Pompeii suddenly asked, his claws itching in anticipation. He didn't really think his chances were good of an early training, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

As his son began walking, he followed, keeping a protective eye on him. "I wouldn't backtalk yer old man, you hear?" He chuckled, a deep purr resonating in his throat.
"Only if I train you." He answered with a shrug.

The brown tabby moved his gaze to the ground slowly, and his paws trotted forward in order to keep pace with the ebony tom. He intently listened to his words as he said the part about the training. His body screamed for him to go for it, but the logical side of him knew it was a bad idea to begin training so early. "Being possessive, huh? I knew you couldn't resist me." he moved onto a lighter subject as his whiskers twitched in amusement. He might not have wanted to train physically, but his comebacks were certainly expanding.

Verity, who did not have a sub-account as of now, padded up to his family members. Her brother and adopted father. "Hello ya'll!" She grinned. The female personally had no interest in battle training whatsoever, especially early. Nope. She wanted to scare some birds and write happy messages to potential pro-clan joiners like 'WELCOME TO FAIRYLAND' or something like that to annoy her father.

Oh, here came one of the traitors. One of the cats that left him in that weaved basket and unconsciously convinced him to leave and join this junkyard of the clan. He was pretty pissed about that, but nonetheless, he still loved her. Unable to restrain a small smile in greeting, he waved to his sister as he turned to face her. She was too bubbly for his liking, but over the moons she had learn to put up with it. "Verity! I haven't seen you all day where have ya been?" he inquired before wrapping his thin tail over his massive paws.

"Making peace, brother!" She grinned, giving him a gentle head butt in the shoulder. As much as he was a pain in the arse, she put up with him because she loved him. The anti-social male was really a big fluffy teddykins underneath.

A big fluffy teddykins indeed. Even if he rarely showed his true colors around the ones he didn't know, he still had a little bit of softness underneath that bulky build. Receiving the headbutt in the shoulder, he grinned as he barely budged. His sister could be an annoying furball sometimes considering her weak attacks, but he managed to restrain clawing her eyes from her sockets. Turning to Abduel, he fixed his narrowed amber eyes on him and asked him a question, "Can we go explore the catacombs?" he inquired, expecting the answer to be a negative one.
